Happy 8 Month Birthday, Caden!

I can't believe Caden is 8 months old! I honestly feel like I just brought him home from the hospital a few days ago! I remember how hard it was at the start- I remember the tears, the sleepless nights... It was rough, but now it is just fun and I'd love to have another one (but don't worry- we aren't going to have another for a looooooong time! :) Caden is a true blessing from God and we love him so much. :)

He's All Grown Up :(

Here are some pictures of Caden standing yesterday. He pulled himself up on his own and everything! Tomorrow my little baby is going to be 8 months old. I can't believe it... And 2 years ago today Jeff and I got married in Fredericton (I miss NB). Where has the time gone?

He Never Stops...

Caden is definitely a busy little guy. I think that's why he isn't gaining a lot of weight. He NEVER stops! We bought him some more toys yesterday and Caden loves to drum on his new drum. He got shakers, a tambourine, and the whole works... He played with those toys for atleast 40 minutes before he got bored, which is a record. He can usually only play with something for about 2 minutes before getting bored!

And of course there are more pictures of Caden standing! He'll risk his own life to get a cat- he doesn't care where they are. He tries to climb up on the couch and everything! But he's still learning. He won't pull himself up to the couch unless Mommy or Daddy are there for him to climb on first!

As for the townhouse: It is ours if we can afford it (the price is higher than we thought). So we'll know for sure in a week. But thanks to Jeff we got first pick and we are right across from a park. So it would be great for Caden. We'll see. :)

Poor Jeffrey... :)

It is 8:00 a.m. and Jeff has been sitting in line waiting for the townhouse to go on sale at 2:00. Jeff left at 6:00 and just got there before some other people, so this idea of waiting isn't as crazy as we thought! ;) Poor Jeff is in his lawn chair and it is rainy and cold out, and he has a LONG wait... Hopefully this will all pay off, though. We think it'll be a great place to live, and it is directly across from a park so it would be wonderful for Caden. We'll see. We'll know by 2:00...

Look at Him!

This morning when Jeff and I came to get Caden out of his crib he was standing! We were scared to death because he could have toppled right over the edge of his crib. And of course we did nothing about it (we forgot!) and when he wouldn't take a nap we came in and he was standing again! So now the crib is on the lowest level. I am still shocked. He isn't even 8 months old and he is pulling himself up on his own. Maybe that's normal, but I wouldn't know! :) We are proud of our little guy! :)

Standing

Caden is getting pretty good at standing, and it's always when Daddy isn't home. I only have pictures as proof! :) Caden was sitting on my lap just now playing with a toy and he grabbed the top of it and stood right up. So I snapped some pictures. I wonder if he'll be an early walker. We'll have to wait and see. I am still getting used to this whole crawling thing. Friday night Caden decided he would go from dragging himself across the floor to actually crawling. And he has been a monster ever since- he's into everything!

More Pictures of Course :)

I wanted to show you Caden's 1/2 tooth and 1/4 of a tooth, and you can somewhat see them in the close-up picture I took, especially if you click on the picture and enlarge it. On March 30th Caden got his first tooth. He wasn't quite 7 months old then. I can't believe he is almost 8 months old already! Where has the time gone?

Things are pretty crazy here. Jeff is into exams and a townhouse we are hoping to get might be going on sale tomorrow, so we'll have to wait in line for hours with the hopes that we'll get it. Jeff is the one who is going to wait. He is writing 2 of his exams today so he'll be free tonorrow to get to the place early and wait. It is first come first serve so Jeff wants to make sure he is the first to come. :) We'll see.

Oh- I almost forgot! Do you see Caden's remote in the first 2 pictures? Grammie and Grampy Fairgrieve sent Caden some Easter money for toys and we found him the perfect gift: his VERY OWN remote control. :) Caden LOVES it. It is a Sesame Street remote- very nice. :) We also got him a few other toys and he was a very happy boy.
